A complete portrait of Belclare

ALL you could ever ask about Belclare, the village on the road from Tuam to Headford with the church on one side of the road and the turlough on the other, is answered in a monumental history of the place which was launched on Saturday evening December 7.

The author, Martin O’Grady, is a native of Glenafoshia, where the Headford and Galway roads meet, and he has devoted years of study to this comprehensive survey, which begins in the earliest period of geological time and ends within the last ten years.
