If the cap fits!
Creative flair ignited as North Galway Tidy Towns groups promote sustainability through art
A NOVEL project in four north Galway towns and villages has sparked a creative flair among communities who will shortly have colourful new murals on display in their localities.
Tidy Towns groups in Glenamaddy, Kilkerrin, Williamstown and Creggs have joined forces for the project, which has delivered bright sustainable murals that will go on display in all four villages.
The project, in collaboration with Creative Ireland and Galway County Council, has harnessed the themes of biodiversity and sustainability to deliver the Faoí Blath floral murals made from recycled bottle caps.
Louise Garvey of Glenamaddy Tidy Towns said the projects had been a hugely collaborative event involving people of all ages and nationalities in the area.
