Dubliner who has worked with U2 and Johnny Cash takes to Galway stage
HE has worked with the créme de la créme of artists from the Irish and world entertainment scene, and on Friday night, Billy McGrath takes to a stage in Galway city on his lonesome.
Billy (Magra) McGrath is 68, from Dublin, but has been visiting Galway for many a year. Billy’s one-man show ‘GUSTO’ gets its first airing on Friday at 8.30pm upstairs in the Town Hall Theatre, a venue managed by Tuam’s Fergal McGrath (no relation).
GUSTO is a memoir of Billy’s personal, private, and working life, which has been full of twists, turns and accompanying tales. It is a comedy show, and comedy has been one of his life’s loves, along with soccer, punk rock, and his family of course.
