Mayo clash next for Galway
Tickets for FBD semi-final go on sale today, Wednesday
SATURDAY’S FBD Connacht semi-final between Galway and Mayo will be a sell-out at the University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome.
With capacity limited at the indoor venue, Connacht GAA will put 1,200 tickets on sale via the universe.com website from 1 o’clock today (Wednesday), and it’s expected they will be snapped up in double quick time. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased per transaction.
The Tribesmen’s season opening 3-21 to 1-13 quarter-final victory over Leitrim on Friday was notable for the performances of top scorer Rob Finnerty, who finished with 2-7, and also Ian Burke making his first appearance in maroon and white since the 2020 Connacht final.
Other returnees to the Galway starting XV were ’keeper Bernard Power, John Maher and Barry McHugh, while senior debuts were handed to Daniel O’Flaherty, who is still eligible for U-20 grade, along with substitutes Tadhg O’Malley, Matthew Barrett, Jack Kirrane, Darragh Varley and Nathan Grainger…
