Fashion students bid for place in World Finals
EXCITEMENT is building in a Tuam secondary school as two of its students prepare for the national finals of this year’s Junk Kouture competition, taking place in Dublin tomorrow (Thursday).
Hannah Hynes and Zora Pecigos are Transition Years students at Scoil Bhride, Mercy Secondary School whose design, Electric Ice-atope, is through to the prestigious fashion competition, where 60 entries will bid to win a place in the Junk Kouture World finals.
Their dress is made from electric fencing tape - woven, plaited and knitted into intricate panels and motifs.
