School can be a dog’s life

Within a short time, Eddy has made a remarkable difference

WATCHING Sarah Molloy and golden Labrador Eddy walk confidently side-by-side, it’s hard to believe that Sarah was once petrified of dogs.

Despite all of Eddy’s many talents, he can’t take the credit for her overcoming her fear, but thanks to her personal experience and Eddy’s magical way with students, his arrival in the classroom doesn’t make anyone flinch.

In fact, Eddy’s presence has the opposite effect. Students knowing he’s there, seeing him sit with them or stroll around them, has already had a remarkable calming effect and boosted their learning.

There’s no doubt that Eddy is a very special dog...
