Over €10million for Co Galway sports projects

Tuam Stadium will receive €300,000 while a new athletics track and astro pitch for local schools also got funding

FUNDING of just under €300,000 for developments at Tuam Stadium is among the €10million in sports grants announced today for clubs and groups around the county.

The money is for the redevelopment of the old dressing rooms at the stadium.

Grant support has been allocated for Tuam's first athletic track while many clubs have been given support to install or upgrade their lighting. An all-weather pitch facility at a school in Tuam will also be expanded as a result of a significant grant.
