St Cuan’s twins light up school with unique metal Christmas tree
By Andrew Florio
TWO sisters attending St. Cuan’s College in Castleblakney have put their engineering skills on show by creating a replica Christmas tree entirely out of metal to try and spread some Christmas cheer around their school.
Transition Year students Rachel and Ruth O’Connor, with a little help from their metalworking family friend Mike Cahill, designed, constructed, painted and decorated the visually striking tree to bring some excitement to the school after trips abroad and musicals were postponed.
