Ability west christmas party welcomes special guests

CHRISTMAS celebrations turned green at Tuam’s Ability West centre last week when the charity played host to members of the Connacht rugby squad.
The visit was one of two made by the squad in the lead up to Christmas, with 20 players paying a visit to Tuam while the remaining senior players visited the paediatric unit at University Hospital Galway.
The centre, on Frank Stockwell Road in the town, was bedecked in green Connacht flags with service users and staff members alike donning green jerseys for the occasion.
Children from the nearby St Oliver’s Special School also came along to share in the fun and get a chance to meet the team.
