The sun shone for Dunmore Market Day.

Crowds came out for Dunmore Market

BALLYBRIT may have Ladies Day but Dunmore’s Festival Market Day can easily lay claim to being one of the most vibrant summer’s days in rural Ireland.
This year’s event had the added bonus of summer sunshine as hundreds of people flocked in to the Square which was transformed into a tantalising sea of market stalls and scintillating smells.
Friends old and new converged in the cordoned off streets, with a well-placed ice cream van doing exceptional business from early morning. Among the many stall holders were a group of enterprising local children who have been selling their baked
goods alongside old books, toys and jars of slime in aid of children’s charities for the past six years.
