Big Tom’s hands will go on Cong’s Wall of Fame

BIG Tom often had the feet of dancers tapping in the House of Music ballroom in Cong in years gone by,  but it’s his hands, that will be cast in bronze in Cong.
Last Tuesday night Tom and his wife Rose and their daughter Aishling made the trip to the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris to have moulds of his hands taken in plaster for the cast to be made.
Along with Daniel O’Donnell’s, which were cast some weeks ago, both sets of bronze hands will be unveiled at an event in Cong next June or July. They will join the late Maureen O’Hara and Ryan Tubridy who were already selected for Cong’s Hands of Fame.
