Quilting is vibrant in Tuam
WITH 44 quilts and textiles on display at Tuam Town Hall this week, the town’s Ready Thready Sew group is celebrating its largest patchwork and quilt exhibition to date.
Now in its 13th year, the event celebrates local talent and showcases the remarkable work being created by local people, young and old.
This year’s event features several pieces by younger quilters, who have been members of a sewing club run by Roisin McManus, of Tuam’s Quilt Yarn Stitch store and member of Ready Thready Sew.
