Social distancing halves capacity at remote working hub

SOCIAL distancing measures are hindering the provision of remote working desk space in County Galway according to one community enterprise that has a waiting list since the outbreak of Covid-19.
The Headford Hub, located at the Moyne Villa soccer clubhouse in the town, could accommodate ten people earlier this year. However, the imposition of the two-metre social distancing measure, to limit the spread of coronavirus, means the centre is now operating at half its capacity.
Sarah Martlew, registrar of the Hub, said the increase in people working from home had led to surge in demand for the service.
