An Spidéal left to regret below-par first half display

WHEN the game was in the melting pot and it seemed like the experience garnered in big contests over the past couple of seasons would stand to An Spidéal, Tuam Stars’ star Gary O’Donnell marauded up the field from his wing-back station and kicked two invaluable points to book his side’s spot in last four.
The two O’Donnell points, coming in the 53rd and 57th minutes, halted an impressive An Spidéal revival that saw them trim a five-point half-time deficit back to just a single white flag, and patrons in attendance looked set up for a grandstand finish.
