Paige lays claim to Tuam’s Harvest Queen 2014 crown
TUAM’S newest Harvest Queen was officially crowned during a night of celebrations in the town last week.
Paige Diskin, 17, from Athenry Road represented the Irish Wheelchair Association in the annual competition run by Tuam Voluntary Force (TVF) to raise money for local charities.
The Mercy Secondary School student, who sat her Leaving Cert this summer, triumphed over ten other local ladies vying for the title, but according to organiser Derek Cassidy all the girls had a wonderful time taking part in the competition.
