Kilimanjaro Four raise over €25k for local charities
A GROUP of four young women from Corofin, Kilconly, Lavally and Tuam have raised over €25,000 for three local charities following a successful climb of Africa’s highest mountain.
Aisling Donnellan, a nurse from Lavally, Vicky Reynolds from Corofin who works for COPE Galway, Michelle Tighe, an SNA from Tuam, and Sharon O’Neill, a hairdresser from Kilconly, scaled Mount Kilimanjaro last month.
The proceeds of their adventure have been split between MS Ireland Tuam, Galway Parkinson’s Association and Galway Cystic Fibrosis Hospital Project after a five month fundraising drive.
