Bord Pleanála turn down 64 houses in Claregalway
AN Bord Pleanála have upheld a Galway County Council decision to refuse planning permission for a new housing estate in Claregalway.
The local authority refused a planning application from Valcris Ltd last July for 64 residential units on a 6.5acre site in the townland of Droim na Gaoithe in Claregalway, not far from the Clare River.
A mix of two-storey houses and duplex apartments was proposed for the development, along with plans for 99 car parking spaces, a new pedestrian entrance to the site from the Church View road, as well as vehicular access and a pedestrian entrance through the Lakeview estate.
