Cramped school forced to hold classes in hallways

A TUAM secondary school has lodged a planning application for a temporary two-storey modular building to meet their growing student demand, with classes having to be held in hallways and under stairs.

Archbishop McHale College are due to receive a decision on their application from Galway County Council by May 15, and if successful, the school would be hopeful to have the modular unit in place before the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
