Glenamaddy launches its 61st Theatre Festival
GLENAMADDY’S 61st Annual Theatre Festival was launched last Friday night in Raftery’s Oakland Glenamaddy.
The event was launched by Marie Loftus, Secretary of The Connaught Council and Director of Ballina One Act Festival, a great friend of Glenamaddy Theatre Festival. She was honoured to launch the festival and commended those involved on a well-run event. She also spoke of the great tradition of drama in Glenamaddy and friendships formed over the years.
The Glenamaddy Theatre Festival is widely regarded as one of the best in the country. The festival showcases the best of Irish Amateur Drama both in its open and confined sections with groups from all over Ireland competing for the coveted awards.
The 61st Annual Glenamaddy Theatre Festival opens on Friday, March 21 March for nine nights, concluding on Saturday, March 29.
The shows will commence at 8pm sharp each night, except the final night where the show will start at 7.30pm.
