Canney re-elected in Galway East

First seat in Galway East

INDEPENDENT Sean Canney from Belclare has taken the first seat in Galway East, just minutes before midnight on the first day of counting at the centre in Headford.

The count saw the distribution of the votes of Aontu candidate Luke Silke who was eliminated after the fifth count.
