Third count in Galway East
Burke now eliminated and fourth count underway
NO one has reached the quota (10,843) after the results of the third count in Galway East which saw the distribution of David O’Reilly’s and Paul Maddens votes.
Both Canney and Dolan saw some gains but they are still a bit away from being elected.
Sinn Féin’s Louis O’Hara has gained some ground while it remains very tight between FG Pete Roche and Ind Ireland’s Declan Geraghty.
However, Roche is expected to benefit in later counts when either Madden or Higgins are eliminated.
