Docs duo recall teenage years for new song

Video to premiere on Friday

The Saw Doctors, who filmed a secret house concert in Tuam last week for inclusion in a new music video, will host the world premiere of the video for their next single, I Love To Go Awanderin’, this Friday, September 27 at 10am on their YouTube channel.

I Love To Go Awanderin’ is written by Davy Carton and Leo Moran, with lyrics that hark back to the golden autumn days of their childhood and teenage years in Tuam.

Directed by Steven Lock, who produced the very first Saw Doctors documentary, Sing A Powerful Song, the video for I Love To Go Awanderin’ features Davy and Leo, cycling around the mountain roads of Connemara, with drone footage capturing the splendour and stunning views of Lough Nafooey as the duo freewheel high above the beautiful valley near Finny.

The Saw Doctors have just finished a three month long summer tour that included sold-out shows in New York at Central Park, Dublin at Fairview Park, Galway Arts Festival and Belfast with pit stops along the way in Munich, Manchester, Brussels, Amsterdam, Boston and Chicago.

The band will play a one off concert at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin on Friday November 29 with tickets going on sale this Friday, September 27 from Ticketmaster.
