Significant safety works required along Dunmore street

Residents concerned about derelict buildings

Significant safety works will have to be carried out on many premises along Bridge Street in Dunmore before any of their gutters can be cleaned.

The street is known for having several derelict buildings on either side of the road. A long metal gutter came crashing to the ground from one of these buildings in the past. Luckily there was no one walking underneath at the time.

This has led to calls for the council to clean the gutters, as residents are fearful of the incident happening again, with any potential heavy rainfall in the months ahead putting extra pressure on the gutters.
