Corofin promises Irish music, song & dance for the next generation!
Showcase of available classes this weekend
PARENTS with younger children in school with a curiosity or interest in Irish music, song or dance will have an opportunity to expose them to it on Saturday evening.
Corofin Comhaltas are teaming up with the Abbeyknockmoy Set Dancers in the Dr Duggan Hall in Corofin this Saturday evening, September 14, from 6 to 7 pm to introduce teachers, along with a host of top class musical and dancing performers.
The event is mainly for parents of 5 to 8-year-olds and will give them an opportunity to learn what’s involved in playing an instrument or being part of a dancing team – with all the benefits and fun that come from it. Renowned music conductor Sinead Hayes is the President of Corofin Comhaltas and is delighted to be part of developing young musicians in the area.
