Over ten per cent of election posters vanish

Around one in ten local election posters have been reported as either stolen or having gone missing across the three municipal districts of Tuam, Ballinasloe and Athenry-Oranmore.

Independent Cllr James Charity told The Tuam Herald that over 30 of his posters were missing, while Fine Gael’s David Collins lost 35 of his 200 posters, some of which he said were gone well before voting commenced.
