High Cross College set to dazzle at Junk Kouture finals

TUAM’S stellar tradition of student fashion talent continues with the selection of three designs from High Cross College that will contest the national finals of this year’s Junk Kouture competition.

The new school opened last September following the amalgamation of Presentation College and Mercy Secondary School, with both schools having achieved national success in the competition down through the years.

Now the three designs, created by seven Transition Year students, will compete against schools across the island of Ireland in the final of the competition next month.

A total of 31 entries went forward to the Regional Finals from the school with teachers Lisa Browne and Chiara Casey, along with TY Co-ordinator Leona Quirke, advising and helping the girls with their designs.
