Gardai attend two serious incidents in Tuam
Man seriously injured
GARDAI and the Emergency Services in Tuam have been called to two serious incidents in the Tuam area today (Tuesday).
Early this morning, the alarm was raised after a man was injured at a private residence in the Cortoon area in what gardai describe as a “work-place incident”.
The man in his 60s sustained serious injuries and has been taken to University Hospital Galway for treatment.
Gardai and the Emergency Services are also attending the scene of a serious crash in Milltown which occurred mid-morning.
The three-vehicle collision, involving a van and two cars on the N17 on the Claremorris side of the village, occurred at approximately 10.10am.
Gardai advise that the road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
Garda investigations are ongoing and no further information on the condition of those travelling in the vehicles is available at this time.
