Mother’s appeal after teen misses bus
A TUAM mother has appealed to commercial transport operators to apply some common sense after her teenage daughter was left stranded in Dublin city centre in the middle of the night after missing the last bus to Galway by a matter of minutes.
Caroline Jordan of Clogherboy has spoken out after an incident in which her 18-year-old daughter Caoimhe missed the 12.30am GoBus service from Dublin to Galway after attending a concert in Malahide Castle last month.
Three of Caoimhe’s friends managed to reach the bus on Crampton Quay just before it departed and asked the driver to wait for two other girls booked on the service to Galway.
When the driver refused one of the girls rang Caroline and she appealed to the driver to wait as her daughter had left her bag with her money and bank cards with the girls who were already on the bus…
