COMMUNITY leadership is crucial to ensuring refugees living in the Tuam region are welcomed and supported during their time in Ireland, according to the Cathaoirleach of the town’s Municipal District Council.

Cllr Colm Keaveney addressed the February meeting of Tuam MDC where he spoke of the dangers of misinformation being spread on social media which had led to a protest against refugees in the town last weekend.
