Students say ‘bonjour’ to the bog
French students get a taste of rural life with first-ever bog visit
THERE was a high sense of excitement last week when over 50 French students and their teachers visited Galway’s Living Bog at Carrownagappul, Mountbellew as part of their educational trip to the West of Ireland.
Manager Maura Hannon welcomed the visitors to Galway’s Living Bog Interpretive Centre, Mountbellew where they enjoyed a showing of The Bog Video and the massive collection of photographs of all the wildlife and flora of the bog compiled by John Walsh, Mountbellew.
