Council tenant claims house is a ‘living hell’
Black mould covers the walls
A TUAM man, living in a local authority house, has pleaded with Galway County Council to try and find him alternative accommodation over fears regarding his deteriorating health due to damp conditions within his home.
Lawrence Ward is currently residing in the Parkmore estate in Tuam, in a two-bedroom unit that has black mould covering the walls inside the house.
The 53-year-old man described his current situation as a “living hell” and has previously spent six weeks over the Christmas period in hospital as he continues to await a liver transplant.
