Dunmore MacHales one hour from Croke Park
Tyrone's Galbally their All-Ireland IFC semi-final opponents
GALWAY club teams will be fighting on three fronts against northern opposition this weekend, with Dunmore MacHales, Maigh Cuilinn and Clifden all underdogs to varying degrees to reach Croke Park finals.
Galbally Pearses, the champions of Tyrone and Ulster, are Dunmore's opponents in an All-Ireland semi-final that's fixed for St. Loman's GAA Grounds, Mullingar on Saturday and has Kildare referee Brendan Cawley in charge (throw-in: 1.30pm).
The men in green and white are vying to become the sixth Galway side to reach an All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship decider.
Maigh Cuilinn (2008) and Oughterard (2020) both went all the way and climbed the steps of the Hogan Stand, while Caherlistrane (2006), St. Michael's (2008) and St. James (2011) finished runners-up...
