North Galway’s new bus service
Tenders to be sought in January
A NEW bus service serving rural parts of North Galway will come on stream in early 2023.
Tenders for the new Local Link service will be sought in January for the route that will collect passengers in Tuam, Belclare, Caherlistrane, Headford, Corrandulla, Annaghdown Cross, Clonboo and Menlo, with University Hospital Galway as its final destination.
The service will operate seven days a week with four return journeys running between 7am and 7pm.
The route has been long campaigned for by Independent Cllr James Charity in conjunction with local Cllr Andrew Reddington in Headford as well as Galway East TD Sean Canney.
