‘We’re lucky to have great leaders,’ says McGrath

FOLLOWING Sarsfields third All-Ireland title victory at Croke Park on Saturday evening, team manager Michael ‘Hopper’ McGrath was naturally delighted for his players, management and everyone involved in the club, writes Eanna O’Reilly.

“Today is really special for the club,” he said. “To win three out of four and to put them back to back is something else for these girls. The resilience they showed all year, the knocks we got, and we kept recovering from them. I think you just have to hand it to the girls; they really are a phenomenal group.”
