A fundraiser close to the heart
Headford business marks first year by remembering a loved one
A SPECIAL day of family fun to mark the first anniversary of a Headford small business will also celebrate the life of a man who died in tragic circumstances in Bali five years ago.
Karen Murphy of Carpe Diem hair salon is hosting a fundraiser in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust after the charity came to her aid when her partner, Keith McDonagh, passed away on the Pacific Island in 2017.
The couple had been living in Australia and were visiting Bali for a wedding celebration when the tragedy happened.
“Kevin Bell were an amazing support to me and to Keith’s family at the time and I have always wanted to do something to acknowledge the kindness and compassion they gave us during such a difficult time in our lives,” said Karen.
