Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again!
Coláiste an Eachreidh to make hit their own as Gaeilge
WHEN Mamma Mia as Gaeilge takes to the stage at Athenry Town Hall this Thursday and Friday nights, the public will hear the hit songs in English but the teenagers will be doing the talking as Gaeilge in lead roles.
Boasting youngsters from Tuam, Athenry, Loughrea, Oranmore and Galway City, the innovative boys and girls from Transition Year at Athenry’s Coláiste an Eachréidh, with a little help from the teaching staff, have taken the show Mamma Mia and translated the narrative into Gaeilge.
While they sing the songs in English, they hope the combination of languages will be a hit for all when they perform it this Thursday and Friday in Athenry Community Hall.
This promises to be a musical with a difference.
Tickets are selling out quickly and can be bought on Event Brite.
