Plans to locate wind farm in Clonberne
PLANS for a proposed wind farm in Clonberne will be revealed during a public information session in the village next week.
Clonberne Windfarm Limited is looking to construct a windfarm in the townlands of Ballyedmond, Ballinphul, Cloonarkin, Gortgarraun, Clonberne, Kead, Killavoher, Kilmurry, Laughil, and Lomaunaghroe.
Access to the development would be from the R328 which links the Grotto in Moylough to Ballindine and joins Clonberne with Dunmore.
The consultancy firm MKO – Planning and Environmental Consultants are involved in the proposed development, which has been mooted for several years.
The public information session will run from 3pm until 8pm on Thursday, November 17 in the Clonberne Community Centre.
