New school playground fundraiser in full swing

A PRIMARY school on the outskirts of Tuam has hit the halfway mark in a fundraising campaign to provide playground equipment for more than 200 children enrolled there.

Gardenfield National School launched their 10k to Let us Play campaign last month and have already secured over €5,500 in donations to the fundraiser that is being led by the school’s Parents Association.

An online donation page has been established where people can purchase a ticket for €10, which enters them into a draw, with a top prize of a €1,000 holiday voucher.
