IFA Chairman Canavan leads way on addressing concerns
Politicians invited to join discussion on farming
FARMERS from around the local region will congregate at Stephen Canavan’s farm in Ballyglunin on Monday evening for an in-depth discussion on how the input-costs explosion in the sector can best be navigated.
Invitations have gone out to all the TDs, Senators, and Councillors in the county to attend the event, scheduled for Monday at 7pm, a stone’s throw away from The Palm Tree Pub.
“We’re looking to get the ball rolling and see can we get a few bob for the farmers before a catastrophe happens,” explained Stephen Canavan, who was elected as Chairman of Galway IFA in March …
