Low numbers at Mountbellew college raises concerns
County towns may not be best for PLC courses
CONCERN at the low level of applications for Post Leaving Cert (PLC) courses at Mountbellew’s Coláiste an Chreagáin has led to suggestions that county towns are not the best location for full-time further education courses.
The issue was raised at a board meeting of Galway-Roscommon Education and Training Board in Athenry last week, when Director of Further Education and Training Sinead Morgan said there had been many changes in the profile of students who applied to study PLC courses.
