Brendan performs live on Late Late Show tonight
Tuam singer-songwriter vying for chance to sing again for Ireland in Eurovision
IT’S fingers crossed for Tuam’s Brendan Murray tonight (Friday) as he counts down to his performance on RTE's The Late Late Show Eurosong 2022 Special.
Brendan is one of six finalists vying for the chance to represent Ireland at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Italy in May.
With the song ‘Real Love’ Brendan is hoping to get a second chance to sing for Ireland, having competed in Eurovision 2018. His ballad will be song number three on tonight’s show and was chosen from over 300 entries.
Brendan will perform the song live and is hoping for plenty of public support, especially from his home town and county!
For the first time in several years, viewers at home will have the opportunity to cast their vote for their favourite song to help decide who fly the Irish flag at Eurovision.
Ballinasloe’s Rachel Goode is also one of the six finalists who will perform on the Eurovision special singing 'I'm Loving Me'.
The winner will be chosen by the combined votes awarded the public vote, an international jury and a studio jury.
