Annaghdown volunteers hope efforts can save lives
First Responder Group aims to be ready in New Year
A NEW Community First Responders group is being established in the Annaghdown area which it’s hoped will help save lives in the community.
There are about 26 CFR groups operating throughout the city and county with members providing vital support to the national ambulance service.
Trained first responders are volunteers who live or work within a general 5km radius and are contacted when an ambulance is called to the area in relation to certain types of medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrests.
