Umbrella Eile: towards the circular economy
AUGUST is designated by the Design & Crafts Council Ireland as the month when we celebrate the craftspeople among us. Last Sunday The Tuam Herald visited Umbrella Eile’s Artisan Market in Galway Rowing Club, Woodquay, Galway where they will be every Sunday.
Umbrella Eile is a Galway-based community of local craftspeople who are independent traders and small business owners. But it is much more than this. Established in 2020, they describe themselves as a “social enterprise driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.” They are about connecting and supporting small traders and welcome all into their community whether you are a seller, buyer or supporter of local goods and services.
