Tracie’s ‘selfless’ head shave raises vital funds for Cancer Care

A BELCLARE woman who shaved her head as part of a birthday fundraiser has presented a cheque for almost three times her initial goal to Tuam Cancer Care.

Tracie Higgins shed her luscious brunette locks back in April, after deciding to shave her head to mark her 33rd birthday. The popular barmaid set herself the challenge along with the goal of raising €5,000 for the charity after the pandemic forced the cancellation of the Man of Aran annual summer barbeque fundraiser that she helps to organise each year.
