Joint anglers and GAA fundraising walk takes in both sides of Lough Corrib with pleasure cruise

A FUNDRAISING walk with a difference will straddle both sides of Lough Corrib this weekend as Kilbeg Anglers and Headford GAA host an event on Sunday, where boats will ferry people on a scenic cruise across the lake as part of the 5km trek.

Fursey Kenny, Headford GAA Chairman and member of Kilbeg and District Anglers Club, said the 5km walk and boat trip was aimed at giving people a better understanding of the lake and the heritage that lies within the community, while raising funds for both clubs.
