Tuam and Galway city credit unions join to offer current account with all the trimmings

LOCAL banking history was made this week when St Jarlath’s Credit Union, Tuam, and St Anthony’s & Claddagh Credit Union, Galway introduced a new full-service current account.

The announcement was made at the annual general meeting of SJCU on Monday night. The meeting was held virtually for the first time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The new current account includes the globally accepted Mastercard Debit Card with contactless payments, standing orders, direct debits, and the option of an overdraft facility.

Members of both credit unions can open a current account online on their websites www.sjcu.ie for St Jarlath’s members and www.sacu.ie for St Anthony’s & Claddagh members.
