A unique singsong sets Tuam off on its three-year arts journey
LITTLE John Nee gave an impromptu demonstration of crowd-songwriting in Tuam marking the start of the town's three-year journey with the Arts Council which is investing a total of €450,000 in the arts in the town.
It is the first time the Arts Council is directly investing in a specific place and Arts Council Director Orlaith McBride says they’re delighted that it’s Tuam.
She said East Galway has been underserved in terms of public funding for many years and the initiative, Creative Places, aims to redress the imbalance.
