Galway forward shines in victory over Claregalway

THANKS largely to the shooting accuracy of Olivia Divilly, Kilkerrin-Clonberne once again underlined their status as the modern-day superpower in Galway ladies football with a convincing 10-point final victory over Claregalway on Sunday.
In the process, Kevin Reidy's charges completed a magnificent seven in-a-row of Senior A titles and set their sights on more silverware as they build up to what's expected to be another heavyweight tussle with their great rivals in Connacht, Carnacon of Mayo, on Saturday week.
Claregalway troubled Kilkerrin-Clonberne most in the early exchanges of Sunday's decider, but a failure to turn territory and pressure into scores undermined their chances of causing an upset.
