Tuam AC set to go Square to Square with MS Ireland set

TUAM Athletic Club will hold their annual Square to Square Challenge on Saturday (September 28). They will run from Eyre Square to Tuam Square and there has been some serious training for the 33km trip.
Last year Tuam native Brian Furey nearly set the N17 on fire when he finished in 2 hours 13 minutes, and his record could be under threat as Sean Burke and Ger Hartnett are both in outstanding form at the moment, and the Square to Square is the perfect final preparation for the Dublin Marathon.
Other contenders include Dan O'Rourke who is always consistent, Val Cunningham who is also heading for Dublin and Paul Walsh. We are also hoping to see a major battle between Shane Crisham and Paul Hynes.
The event will help raise funds for the Tuam MS branch.
