Homecoming for singalong heroes Padraig and Leo
THEY’VE been friends since the 1980s but have only been playing as a duo for the past two years. And, next month’s Tuam concert of well-known singer-songwriters Padraig Stevens and Leo Moran will be something of a homecoming for the talented pair.
Last year Padraig released a new album ‘News from the Old Country’ which was very well received. After a few performances in Ireland, he and Leo headed across the Atlantic where their 15 shows in the North East of America over three weeks proved popular among new and loyal fans.
New songs, old favourites, sing-alongs and stories will all get an airing this spring when Padraig and Leo play a flurry of live shows. The gigs at the Ruby Room in The King's Head in Galway on March 7 and 8 are particularly special as it’s the venue where the lads had their first gig together.
They are also looking forward to playing Tuam’s Mall Theatre on Friday, March 15 before heading to Dublin where they will perform for the first time there as a duo.
